The Saint Louis rapper aka Lil Derik has been honing his craft since his adolescent years, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to mastering the art of hip-hop.

He recognized early on that in order to succeed in this competitive industry, he needed to develop a deep understanding of its intricacies and thus spent countless hours studying the greats, from Rakim to Lil Wayne.

By the time he entered high school, he had already begun to hone his own rapping skills. In 2015, he formed the collective “More Than Music” with his friends, Tazz B, Alley 2 Timexxz, and Sedii Kokane.

Since graduating from high school, Derik has contributed significantly to the world of hip hop, releasing notable projects such as “Rather Be Rich Than Famous” and an Official EP entitled “Huey vs Riley: The Mixtape”.

His music is infused with a range of influences, including J Cole, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye West, all while maintaining a fresh and distinctive sound.
